The Canadian Dental Care Plan is a federal program providing dental coverage to uninsured Canadians with a family income below $90,000. Eligibility is determined by the government — not by our clinic.
Eligibility Checklist
You may qualify for the CDCP if all of the following apply:
- You are a Canadian resident with a valid health card
- You filed a tax return the previous year
- You have no dental insurance (employer, private, or government)
- Your adjusted net family income is under $90,000 per year

Four Simple Steps
to Your First Visit

Apply Through Service Canada
Apply online at canada.ca/dental or call 1-833-537-4342. Approval is confirmed by mail or through your My Service Canada account.

Receive Your CDCP Card
Sun Life administers the CDCP. Once approved you will receive a benefit card and member number by mail.

Book at Alces Dental
Call (780) 784-9007 or book online. Let us know you are a CDCP patient when scheduling so we can prepare.

Arrive & Be Cared For
Bring your CDCP card. We direct-bill Sun Life on your behalf — you only pay your applicable co-pay, if any.
